Baby Ji-su had surgery on July second. It went okay. She is in a lot of pain, but has a good pain management medication regimen. Her procedure was more significant than I thought, and I was pretty upset to begin with, so you can imagine how rough this has been. It hit Zach like a ton of bricks, but not until he got home from the hospital.
She kept saying "outside, outside" so we gave her some "oxycodone" and went fishing with friends a few blocks away from our house for an hour. We almost had to spend the 4th in the hospital too, but she pepped up enough to get off morphine, and keep her tube feedings down at 3 different rates, so we were finally sent home, and made it back by 8 o'clock on Saturday night. She is very sore and has some difficulty with movement. She is able to let us know how she is feeling, and what she would like, so that is helpful. She is still having some issues, so continued prayers and good thoughts are much appreciated.
